How to Repair a Dripping Delta Single Handle Kitchen Faucet

A dripping kitchen faucet is a common household problem that can waste water and increase your water bill. If you have a Delta single handle kitchen faucet, you can repair it yourself with a few simple tools and parts.

Here are the steps on how to repair a dripping Delta single handle kitchen faucet:

Turn off the water supply to the faucet. There are usually two shut-off valves under the sink, one for the hot water and one for the cold water. Turn both valves clockwise to turn off the water.
Remove the handle. Grip the handle and pull it straight up to remove it from the stem. If the handle is difficult to remove, you may need to use a wrench to loosen it.
Remove the cartridge. The cartridge is located inside the faucet body. Use a wrench to loosen the retaining nut that holds the cartridge in place. Once the nut is loose, you can pull the cartridge out of the faucet body.

Replace the handle. Align the handle with the stem and push it down until it snaps into place.
Turn on the water supply and check for leaks. Open the shut-off valves under the sink and turn on the faucet. Check for any leaks around the handle or the base of the faucet.
